Help Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of BC's Cattle Industry
and British Columbia's 150th Birthday!
This is not only the 80th Annual BC Cattlemen's Convention and AGM but it is
the 150th Anniversary of when the Crown Colony of British Columbia
was established! It also marks the 150th anniversay of the cattle
industry in BC as in 1858 the Cariboo Gold Rush began and cattle
started to cross the US border into BC.
June 12th, 13th, & 14th, 2008 the 80th Annual BC Cattlemen's Convention
and Annual General Meeting will be hosted by the South Cariboo
Cattlemen's Association and held in the South Cariboo
Recreation Complex, 100 Mile House, BC. As well as
the business meetings and election of officers there's a lot of fun
planned. Browse through the pages of this web site to find out the
details - things like information on the companion tour (details to be
announced soon), the Friday night auction with live entertainment
(featuring Horse Crazy, a three piece Cowgirl Band from Washington
State) and the Saturday night banquet and dance (featuring Brett Kissel
and his Band). See
The Convention Program for details. There is registration
